Meet Nikki

Nicole “Nikki” Robbins – Tennis Professional, Spiritual Coach, and Minister

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Nikki has spent most of her life on the tennis courts of Studio City. From a young age, she displayed both talent and tenacity, becoming the number one player at Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood. Her passion for the game earned her a tennis scholarship to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where she competed for four years and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Sports Psychology.
Returning home after college, Nikki went back to her roots at The Racquet Centre of Universal City, where she began teaching full-time. As Director of Social Activities, she organized countless tournaments and events—presenting trophies to tennis legends including Venus Williams and the Bryan Brothers. Later, she became the Director of Junior Development, spending the next decade nurturing young athletes while maintaining her own competitive edge.
During that time, Nikki achieved top rankings in Southern California: #1 in Women’s 25 Singles, #1 in Mixed 5.5 (with her student Mike Rosett), and #3 in Women’s 5.5 Singles. She has proudly represented the San Fernando Valley on numerous teams and competed in tournaments across the globe.
When The Racquet Centre closed in 1998 to make way for a shopping mall, Nikki transitioned to Weddington Tennis (formerly Studio City Golf and Tennis), where her program continued to thrive. She enjoys teaching all levels of players but specializes in beginners through intermediate, instilling a love for the game that lasts a lifetime. Many of her students have gone on to successful collegiate careers, and she’s now teaching the second generation of families who grew up in her program.
Nikki’s teaching philosophy is simple yet profound: tennis is a skill for life—accessible, joyful, and ever-evolving. She believes every student learns differently and adapts her approach to meet their unique needs. Her gift lies in being able to explain a concept in many ways until it “clicks.” The moment a student who once struggled to get the ball over the net begins rallying confidently brings her tremendous joy. For Nikki, her students’ success is her success. In addition to running Nikki’s Tennis Crew, she has served as the JV coach for Campbell Hall and the head coach for Oakwood High School.
Beyond the court, Nikki has extensive experience working with children on the autism spectrum and with developmental differences, using patience, intuition, and play to foster confidence and connection.
Her lifelong love of learning led her to pursue advanced education in spirituality and consciousness. She earned a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health, and Healing from the University of Santa Monica, and later a second Master’s in Consciousness Studies and Spiritual Leadership from the Holmes Institute. Nikki is also a certified Spiritual Director, trained at the Sacred Art of Living Center in Bend, Oregon.
In Fall 2025, Nikki received her Doctor of Divinity from Emerson Theological Institute. She currently serves as the Assistant Minister at Ahiah Center for Spiritual Living in Pasadena,
where she blends her passion for teaching and ministry to help others awaken to their divine potential.
Bringing her two worlds together—tennis and spirituality—Nikki supports students and clients alike in releasing self-limiting beliefs and judgments that block their success, both on the court and in life. Whether she’s teaching a backhand or guiding a meditation, her mission remains the same: to inspire others to live with confidence, joy, and purpose.
